Calathea Dottie

$20.00

In a 4in nursery pot plus decorative pot

Pet Friendly - yes
Light Requirement - bright, indirect - east facing window or back a few feet from a west or south facing window
Humidity Preference - prefers higher humidity
Watering Preference - likes well draining, chunky soil. Water when top couple inches are dry, Calatheas like to remain moist but not water logged as their roots will rot. Calatheas are sensitive to mineral buildup and prefer distilled or rain water, instead of tap water

Calathea “Dottie” is a member of the prayer plant family, so their leaves will go upwards at night and open back up during the day. The new leaves come in dark, almost black then turn greener as they age. These plants are sensative to mineral and salt build up, and do best with distilled or rain water. If you bottom water, be sure to do a top water flush once a month to remove any build up from fertilizer or minerals in the water.
